As I look at and study the lives of the world's top achievers in business, music, and athletics, there are several traits that stand out as common threads woven throughout these elite professional lives. The view from the top is reserved for a rare few, but what do they have in common to propel them. Are there traits that anyone can model and achieve similar results? I believe there are, and here are 7 common traits among all top achievers.
I love this quick video. Quickly learn how to make the "right" decision...then how to always make your decision "right." Here is Chispa Motivation's 3 simple step formula in less than 5 minutes.
In this video, Anthony Robbins talks about what it takes to overcome fear, and move forward to achieve your dreams. More importantly, he discusses how our fears feed our failures and create a downward spiral for life.
"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you've imagined." -Henry David Thoreau I recently watched The Secret Life of Walter Mitty again. I love this movie for the epic and beautiful cinematography that takes in so much of the world we never see, like Greenland, Iceland, and even the upper Himalayas in Afghanistan. The picturesque views captured in this film are enough to make me want to visit all those places. But the movie represents much more to me. Ben Stiller's remake of the original shot in 1947 is about a meek and mild nobody with an extraordinarily vivid fantasy life. In the original comedy, Mitty uses his imagination as an escape from all those around him who henpeck and harass him, making his life miserable - his boss, his overbearing Mom, and even his dimwitted fiance. However, in this comedy, even though he escaped reality to his own little dream world, his trance-like fantasies continue to get Mitty in trouble, making his life even more difficult. Ben Stiller's version is a much different plot with a much different outcome.
