This short 5 minute video features exerpts from Eric Thomas and Les Brown talking about what it takes to be a success. I found it to be a short, but powerful set of clips, with equally impacting music. Check it out!
It is true that if you want your message in Social Media to be seen, shared, retweeted, or liked, having a picture increases the odds many times over. It is also true that so many of the messages on quality picture frames are used over and over again, and are anything but unique. So, here are a couple of sites that have tools to let you do just that - Post messages you choose, on high quality pictures, that are unique, and can even be branded for you or your business.
A few years back, Jacob put together this album, "Feel Again," and I want to encourage you to check it out. Here are a few websites you can find it, and even purchase it if you wish. These days, Jacob is taking a year off from school serving in the National Guard, and is actually preparing for a 9 month tour serving overseas. He has put his music on the back burner for a bit, and, well frankly, I miss it. Hence, this blog post...
In this video, Anthony Robbins talks about what it takes to overcome fear, and move forward to achieve your dreams. More importantly, he discusses how our fears feed our failures and create a downward spiral for life.
“Become the kind of leader that people would follow voluntarily, even if you had no title or position. Conduct a personal assessment and ask yourself, ”Would I follow me?” – Brian Tracy
Fear is the largest killer of dreams. More people live mediocre, unfulfilled lives because of fear than any other factor. We all have the ability to accomplish anything we want, but most of us will stay back in the shadows of our unrealized dreams because of this invisible, persistent, pervasive, evil enemy. So how do we overcome this formidable, yet imaginary demon that resides between our ears? Les Brown and Casper Berry have some terrific inspiration and strategies in these 2 videos.
Here are some eye opening quotes about dreams that should wake you up. I hope I can encourage you to stop for a moment, and at least ponder what you want to do, where you want to go, who you want to be with, and who you want to be. Let yourself dream again...
"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you've imagined." -Henry David Thoreau I recently watched The Secret Life of Walter Mitty again. I love this movie for the epic and beautiful cinematography that takes in so much of the world we never see, like Greenland, Iceland, and even the upper Himalayas in Afghanistan. The picturesque views captured in this film are enough to make me want to visit all those places. But the movie represents much more to me. Ben Stiller's remake of the original shot in 1947 is about a meek and mild nobody with an extraordinarily vivid fantasy life. In the original comedy, Mitty uses his imagination as an escape from all those around him who henpeck and harass him, making his life miserable - his boss, his overbearing Mom, and even his dimwitted fiance. However, in this comedy, even though he escaped reality to his own little dream world, his trance-like fantasies continue to get Mitty in trouble, making his life even more difficult. Ben Stiller's version is a much different plot with a much different outcome.
